  1. The FPGBC Kit does not come with a power switch. You need to buy a set of plastic buttons that includes one.
  1. The Custom Lab Fifteen Buttons do not include a power switch.
  1. UV Shells are not a complete kit; they are just the shell. You will still need to purchase an FPGBC Kit separately.
  1. UV Shells are printed on demand and may take 5-10 business days to produce. If your order contains other items, your full order will NOT ship until the UV Shell is ready. Please keep this in mind.
Product Details: Power on with FunnyPlaying's very own FPGA Game Boy!
  • Simulates real GBC hardware using FPGA. No need to buy a backlight kit.
  • Supports OEM cartridges, FunnyPlaying Flash Carts, GB Pro Plus and more!
  • No soldering required.
  • Cannot use AA batteries, only compatible with the included rechargeable battery.
  • Some SD Flash Carts are not supported currently.
  • Features USB-C compatibility for easy charging and firmware updates.
  • Includes up to x1.25 speed overclock option.
Warning: Keep the copper strip on the back of the LCD from touching the cart slot pins during testing to prevent potential damage to the kit. Use a non-conductive surface, such as the warning card, to avoid shorting.

Latest Firmware: Latest firmware versions can be found HERE. Make sure to update with the correct firmware for your hardware, as there are now multiple hardware revisions available. Assembly Required:
  • Remove battery terminal from back shell before assembly.
  • Only compatible with the shells on this page.

  • LCD Option
  • FunnyPlaying USB-C Shell (Comes with IR shield)

Note on UV Shells: UV Shells are printed on demand and may take up to 5-10 business days. If your order contains other items, your full order will NOT ship until the UV Shell is ready. Please keep this in mind.

Important Notice:

We would like to assure you that while the device cannot be permanently damaged ("bricked") during the update process, there is a possibility of it entering a temporarily non-operational state. This may require multiple attempts to restore functionality following an unsuccessful update.
